Applicants' geographical location (including those from the UK) is not considered in the eligibility assessment.
  • 2. How do I apply?

Applications can be submitted by any member of an eligible project by completing the application form accessible dirctely from the Booster homepage.
The online application form is the only official way to request Booster support. You will need to register on the platform to access the form. This registration allows you to save your progress and return to complete the application at your convenience.

  • 3. I have submitted my application to the Booster. What happens now?

Once applications are submitted, they are reviewed by the European Commission for eligibility. If deemed eligible,  applicants will be contacted by the appointed experts to begin the Entry Level Consultation within the Personalised Support phase.
  • 4. How can I access the most suitable services for my project? I am unsure which service is best for my project.

The Booster provides personalised support to guide applicants through the services, define their service requests, and monitor the progress of implementation. All services include a mandatory initial consultation prior to the delivery of any specific service to determine the applicant’s needs. This is followed by mandatory follow-up support to review their needs and assist them in selecting additional services, if required.
  • 5. Can only project coordinators submit the application?

Applications can be submitted by anyone in the consortium. It is suggested anyway to inform the Project Coordinator and the other partners about the application.
  • 6. Is it possible to apply to Booster any time or is there a specific (yearly) application deadline?

Yes, but the project should come from an eligible funding.
  • 8. Is the Booster application process competitive, or is it available to all applicants?

It is not a competitive programme; each application is assessed individually. Any member of an eligible project can apply by completing the online application form, which is the only official way to request Horizon Results Booster services.
  • 9. Are projects funded by EIT eligible for the services?

As far as the EIT initiative is co-funded by FP7, H2020, projects are eligible.
  • 10. Are some applications declined?

Only those that do not respect the eligibility criteria. Timing of application is not a criterion for declining it.
  • 11. Do you prioritize projects with more technology prototype development over projects that are more nature/social based?

There is not any priority. All eligible projects have the same priority.
  • 12. We looked at the Booster application, but it seems we must submit our DoA - Part B. Partners (particularly large corporates) prefer not to. Is it obligatory?

This is essential for the experts to better understand the project and tailor the service delivery. All experts have signed a Confidentiality Agreement and maintain the same level of confidentiality as the European Commission.
  • 13. The Booster application form asks us to upload the DoA but my project has security aspects. Is the upload of the DoA compulsory?

If your project includes EU-restricted issues, they cannot be shared. You may consult your Project Officer for guidance. To avoid any potential breach of restrictions, you can focus on a project result that is not labelled as ‘restricted’ during the service. You can then learn how to use the tools and methodologies provided and apply them independently to the restricted results.

Miscellaneous

The experts providing the services cover various scientific and technological domains, but they are primarily specialists in dissemination and exploitation. They are assigned to projects according to their specific domain or field. However, it is important to note that the experts act as facilitators of a process and do not replace beneficiaries in providing content during the delivery of the services.
  • 2. What is the role of the PO in this service (application and implementation stages)?

Project Officers are automatically notified by the Booster platform when you submit your application and when the final report of the Booster service is produced. They may also participate during the service delivery, but this is not mandatory.
  • 3. Is there a specific TRL-level that is recommended in order to get these services?

The level of TRL is not part of recommendation and/or requirement condition to receive the Booster services. The services can be helpful for project with low TRLs as well as for those with high TRL levels.
