S-X-AIPI: Revolutionising industry with self-X AI for a sustainable future
"We applied to Booster aiming to receive expert guidance in shaping our exploitable results, business models, and positioning our innovations towards market uptake."
As electricity demand is constantly increasing, grid operators have to deal with several challenges, such as power transmission losses or outages. TDX-ASSIST aims to address these issues by developing new technologies to improve data exchange between system operators.
Electricity demand is on the rise, driven by the global economic recovery and decarbonization goals. It has also grown in popularity due to the development of electric vehicles and smart devices.
In 2020, due to the COVID-19 pandemic, power generation in Europe fell by 3%, but the following year it recovered by increasing by 3.6%, returning to pre-pandemic levels, where the amount of green energy generated alone accounted for 27% of global production.
With this increase and growth, grid operators have to deal with several challenges, such as power transmission losses, outages, and consumption and production variations.
Investments in grid infrastructure and digitalization are crucial to developing technologies that can help us deliver the speed and scale required to reach decarbonization goals, while addressing the increasingly important topic of energy security.
With a duration of three years (2017-2020), TDX-ASSIST aims to develop novel tools and techniques to facilitate the data exchange between transmission system operators (TSO) and distribution system operators (DSO).
The TDX-ASSIST's objectives are focused on three pillars:
The project team decided to turn to Horizon Results Booster for the Portfolio Dissemination & Exploitation Strategy service to strengthen their dissemination capacity and maximise the exploitation of their portfolio results.

"We applied for the Booster services to develop a structured pathway for the exploitation of research outputs from Isabella’s Flight. We were curious to explore whether our project could have a life beyond the artistic research context, but we weren’t yet sure what that might look like."
"Booster’s support has been transformative, allowing us to streamline our objectives and proposed solutions as well as align our vision with real-world application and needs. Their expertise in go-to-market strategies has empowered us to turn innovative concepts into actionable, scalable outcomes."
